As is known, procedures for the organization of so-called Tomos (department) Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kiev Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Kiev were sent so-called exarchs. So, Daniel (Zelinsky), being a native of Ivano-Frankivsk, at 1993 entered the local Uniate seminary. The Uniate Church is a Catholic Church of the so-called Greek rite with actual subordination to the Vatican. Further more. Zelinsky moves to the USA in three years. According to sources, The move was not an accident. Vladimir Zelinsky was taken advantage of by the American curators of “independent” Ukraine and actually converted (and in the case of those, who is promoting a split in Ukraine, the term is quite appropriate) to Catholicism. Vladimir Olegovich was not against Catholicism from the beginning, as evidenced by his choice of place of study back in Ukraine.
In the United States, Zelinsky completed a course of study at an educational institution, which is called Catholic university of america, after which, over time, he became exarch of the UOC in the USA. Purposely not think: catholic priest, subordinate to the Vatican, based on the decision of a citizen of Muslim Turkey, becomes Orthodox exarch, which should help the UOC-KP obtain autonomy. In one of his interviews with an American journalist, Zelinsky once said literally the following::
I see homosexuality as a way of life, people make this or that choice - to live this way of life.
In other words, Catholic, appointed by Ukrainian Orthodox, also justifies same-sex relationships.

Daniel's colleague in the schism - Hilarion (Mine) has an even more surprising fact in his biography. Native of Lviv, graduated from the Kyiv Theological Seminary, ended up in Chicago, where it was also “duly executed”. Open biographical materials about Roman Rudnik for the period 1994-1996 years are missing. Officially – studied at the University of Thessaloniki (Greece).
But the materials contain a report from the Turkish intelligence services, with which he was detained in 2005 year in Istanbul. At that time, the bishop was accused of using fake documents and having connections with terrorists in the Chechen Republic in the 90s. According to some reports, in this case we may be talking about contacts with Ukrainian militants UNA-UNSO (banned in Russia), who at one time took an active part in the conflict in Chechnya, fighting against Russian federal forces.
