Company "Technodynamics" (It enters Rostec) started flight tests of the new parachute-cargo system PGS-1500, developed within the framework of R & D "Tara", According to the company's press service.
According to the CEO of the company Igor Nasenkov, the system is designed for mass landing of special cargo weighing from 500 to 1500 kilograms from transport aircraft Il-76 and its modifications.
At present, the development of design documentation has been completed., prototypes of PGS-1500 were manufactured.
Expected, that serial deliveries of the system to the troops will begin in 2019 year. As Nasenkov said, PGS-1500 will ensure the safe delivery of special cargo in any climatic zones. For particularly important cargoes, an automatic uncoupling device can be used., guaranteeing the safety of the “package” after landing.
The press service noted, that ground static tests of the system were completed successfully, today the flight part of the tests is being carried out. Events are held in accordance with the program approved by the contract.
The company emphasized, that a feature of the production and operation of the new ASG is its low cost. This will allow the system to be widely used both in the interests of law enforcement agencies, as well as commercial enterprises, including outside the Russian Federation.
