The Russian State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill to replace the military departments in universities in the training centers, RIA Novosti.
The law was initiated by the Russian Federation Government.
Currently, the military training in universities is conducted in military departments, training centers and faculties of military training. In particular, 34 training officers are training center for the contracted service 72 occupational specialties; 83 military departments are preparing both officers, and sergeants (ordinary) margin 150 and 90 specialties respectively.
The document proposes to replace all types of university departments training uniform training centers.
According to the authors of the bill, its purpose is to improve the management efficiency of student learning process.
Besides, as the head of the Duma Committee on Defense Vladimir Shamanov, this type of training allows you to prepare the Armed Forces for the specialists in high technology, and therefore the most difficult, military specialties.
The MP said, that the teaching staff is not planned to reduce, conversely, volumes of military training will only increase.
Previously, he also stated, the changes do not impact on the students themselves, as they concern only powers, unification of titles and diplomas.
