In the Ukrainian city of the Dnieper, namely, the present name of Dnepropetrovsk, local activists set up a website "Stop scoop", intended to inform about the objects, left over from the Soviet Union on the territory of Ukraine and which are currently still “nedekommunizirovanny”, reports “radio Svoboda”.
As stated by the creators of the site, With this project they plan to create a database of all objects, remaining on the territory of Ukraine from the Soviet Union and to monitor their dismantling. According to the authors, Anyone can visit the site and declare the building or monument in his village, which is required to dismantle. Furthermore, the present “appeal” Site hosts will be directed by authorities to heads of districts or cities, or other entities to respond to the violation of the law decommunisation. One of the founders of the project, a Dorolenko, distressed, that in Ukraine there are very many “nedekommunizirovannogo”. These objects he refers buildings and monuments, signs on the houses, picture star and the hammer and sickle and much more, “reminiscent of the Soviet totalitarian regime”. Especially many such facilities in eastern Ukraine, complains Dorolenko, but he did not lose hope, that with the help of the new site “All will be dismantled”.
