In the Turkish province of Eskisehir, the opening ceremony of the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP), constructed for the transportation of natural fuel from Azerbaijan, RIA Novosti.
The ceremony was attended by the presidents of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Serbia, as well as the head of the unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Mustafa Akinci.
Today is a historic day. TANAP project - is the result of multilateral cooperation, Erdogan said.
According to him, pipeline was put into operation ahead of schedule. A year later, it is planned to carry out on his first delivery to Greece. Implementation of the project will provide employment for thousands of people, President added, calling the pipeline "Energy Silk Road".
In turn, Azerbaijani President noted, that «TANAP unites seven countries and many companies". He declared, that the project would be, and so remained on paper, "Do not be a Turkish-Azerbaijani unity and brotherhood".
Recall, TANAP is a part of the "Southern Gas Corridor". His other component - the TAP pipeline should be completed in the next two years (now is his willingness 72%).
TANAP is built on the territory of Turkey and join the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). TANAP capacity will be 16 billion. cubic meters per year. About 6 billion. Ankara intends to take, the rest will go to the European markets.
