Azerbaijan purchased from Belarus, multiple launch rocket systems “Polonaise”, said the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
In Azerbaijani military department confirmed delivery to Republic 301 mm MRL “Polonaise”, while the number of systems is not indicated. According to the previously obtained information, contract implied delivery 10 sets MRL (to include missiles, Freight loading vehicle, command centre, radar, etc.. d.). It is also reported, that system has taken into service of the Republic Army.
About the upcoming transaction between Minsk and Baku was known as early as April of this year,. As local media reports, Baku considers “Polonezы” in response to OTRK “Iskander”, located on the Armenian army.
According to military experts, Azerbaijan relies on funds, allowing to hit targets, located in the strategic depth of the enemy, and buying “Polonezov” It fits into this concept.

Judging by the specs shooting, appearance of containers and information from open sources, Belarusian Chinese missiles MLRS uses A200 or analogue gauge 301 mm. there is 3 different combat units, total length is 7264 mm. Rockets are available on a "shot - forgot", automatic adjustment path is done by GPS. carrying 8 missiles, complex "Polonaise" is designed to deal with manpower, aircraft on the ground, unarmored and armored special vehicles, artillery, etc.. Minimum range of fire - 50 km, maximum, 200 km, full recharge takes 20 minutes. It is possible to volley 8 missiles at 8 for different purposes 50 seconds.
