Ukraine intends in the near future to allow direct export of arms into the country. As the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (SNBO) Oleksandr Turchynov, all foreign manufacturers of weapons and equipment, are free to supply their products to the Ukrainian state.
Turchynov, that currently NSDC is preparing a decision on the liberalization of foreign economic activity, which allows direct export to Ukraine all producers of military equipment and weapons no matter, they belong to the public or private sector. Also, the import of Ukrainian weapons and equipment will be allowed abroad.
The NSDC note, that this decision will remove restrictions on direct contracts for Ukrainian law enforcement agencies at arms purchases abroad, if the Ukrainian producer can not meet these demands. According to Turchynov, This step will help the development of the defense industry of Ukraine.
Recall, Earlier the US State Department authorized the commercial export to Ukraine Limited Party lethal weapons, produced by American companies (but not public procurement).
