Qatar will not give up the deal to buy Russian air defense missile system S-400 because of the threat of military action on the part of Saudi Arabia. Qatar's Foreign Minister Mohammed Al Thani rejected the threat and said, that the acquisition of any military equipment is a sovereign decision of the country, and Saudi Arabia has nothing to do with it.
Recall, that in the beginning of June, the French edition of Monde published a letter from Saudi King Salman of Saudi Arabia to French President Emmanuel Macron, in which he asks for help in thwarting the deal between Qatar and Russia to acquire S-400, otherwise Riyadh threatened to take military action against Qatar.
