The test is the first reusable rocket returned outlined in Russia 2022 year, RIA Novosti reported to the head of the project group Foundation for Advanced Studies (FPI) Boris Satovskogo.
He said, that on the program reusable space-rocket system ultralight class engineers working Roscosmos and the KLA. To date, preliminary design has been completed return rocket block.
According Satovskogo, scheme involves separating the first stage carrier at about 60 km and its return to the starting area with a landing on runway. Upon return to use a modified serial turbojet. The block will be equipped with the rectangular wing and empennage.
The system is designed to orbit to 600 kg payload. calculations show, that the value of the output will be in 1,5-2 times cheaper, than conventional rockets of the same class. It is assumed, that each block can make 50 Flight without replacing the main engines. Fuel for these cryogenic mixture will serve "lox - liquefied methane".
Launched missiles will be mobile complexes.
In developing the groundwork of the project involved the reusable accelerator «Baikal». Engineers analyzed the groundwork for the returned step, alternative arrangement compared and calculated heat transfer and gas dynamics at the return path.
Satovsky also reported, that the elaboration of the project "demonstrated sufficient willingness to create the technological demonstrator".
