Israel has demonstrated a new modern antitank missile system. Presented by Plasan system is an armored vehicle SandCat, which has multiple launchers for the missiles Spike NLOS.
According to Defence Blog, multipurpose missile system long-range Spike-NLOS (Non-Line Of Sight) It is designed to defeat modern armored vehicles, incl. equipped with dynamic protection, fortifications and engineering constructions, enemy personnel, low-speed surface targets beyond line of sight, any time of the day, in difficult weather conditions at a range up to 25km. This system is the only one of the members of the family of anti-tank complexes Spike. Rocket Spike NLOS is the largest and most severe in the whole family. Its launch weight reaches 75 kg, and the length exceeds 1,5 m. These dimensions and weight allow to equip a missile solid engine.
Complex uses a wireless data transmission channel and three main modes “I fire and forget”, “shot, I gauge and adjust” or “He shot and directed”.
Spike-NLOS used for weapons of combat helicopters, surface ships and placed on the self-propelled and towed gear of various types.
