Baltic States have long understood, that can attract the attention of the world powers only through a common border with Russia. Therefore, no statement of representatives of the Baltic countries is not without criticism of Moscow.
Before the NATO Summit in Warsaw 2016 the Heads of State, foreign and defense ministers of the Baltic states carried out a number of meetings, which states the "Russian aggression" and asked NATO allies to strengthen its military presence in the region. The outcome of these meetings was taken at the summit of the decision to increase the military contingent of the alliance on the territory of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland. And at the summit 2017 , NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on the implementation arrangements for the deployment of four battalions of the alliance as a "deterrent to Russia".
This year, the Baltic countries have decided to use the old script. Before the upcoming July NATO summit in Brussels, representatives of the Lithuanian government, Latvia and Estonia, once again stepping up anti-Russian rhetoric and ask allies to strengthen the eastern flank.

In April, the expansion of NATO troops because of the "Russian threat" has asked the presidents of the Baltic states at the meeting with the American leader Donald Trump at the White House. Following the meeting, it was decided to allocate the Baltic countries 170 million. dollars on training military personnel and the purchase of ammunition for the "reflection of Russian aggression".
However, the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė received no response to its direct request to increase the number of military and strengthening the air defense in the Baltic States. Therefore, to achieve a positive outcome on this issue heavy artillery went into action.
