The Russian armed forces will go completely the Russian version of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Outpost". As described in the Ministry of Defense, already in 2019 year the troops will start to arrive fully assembled from Russian components on the basis of domestic technical solutions drones.
The basis for the "outpost" became an Israeli UAV Searcher 2. The decision to start his license issuance at a factory in Yekaterinburg was taken back to the Minister of Defense Anatoly Serdyukov. Initially drones assembled from kits, Comes from Israel. FROM 2012 , JSC "RTI Systems" specialists engaged in the localization of production of the drone and the gradual introduction of Russian components.
"Outpost" is designed to solve the problems of intelligence, as well as to adjust artillery fire. The size and capacity of the UAV allows to bear a powerful optical-electronic devices, as well as solid fuel supply. The presence of normal and infrared camera allows to observe at any time. UAV is equipped with an economical piston engine, allowing you to stay in the air 17 hours. Operating range is about drone 250 km.
In the "outposts" are currently the largest of the Russian Armed Forces are used in modern UAV, but with the start of deliveries to the troops at the dimension of systems "Le Corsaire" and the larger dimension "Orion" need for "outpost" will not be as significant, transmit “Notifications”
