Polish journalist and political scientist Tomasz Maciejchuk was detained in his apartment in Mytishchi near Moscow, reports “Moscow says”.
Russian TV show regular, Matseychuk is known for his anti-Russian statements. Spring in 2017 year, on the air of the NTV channel, he called Soviet soldiers, who participated in the Great Patriotic War, “red fascists”. In response, Russian political scientist Ruslan Ostashko started a fight with him.
Ostashko commented for the radio station “Moscow says” information about the detention of Maceychuk. According to him, law enforcement agencies have been watching him for a long time, the last straw was the statements about the shooting in the Donbass.

As Maceychuk himself stated, searches in his apartment, which were carried out as part of a criminal case on inciting ethnic hatred (Article. 282 Criminal Code of Russia), did not give results. He confirmed, that in accordance with Art.. 19.27 Russian Code of Administrative Offenses (Submission of false information in the course of migration registration) he can expect either a fine, or expulsion from the country.
