Shooting prototype Arctic air defense missile system “Tor-M2DT” successfully completed at Kapustin Yar in the Astrakhan region, reported on Thursday in the Russian Defense Ministry.
Today at the Kapustin Yar test fired successfully completed prototype SAM “Tor-M2DT”, developed on the chassis of two-tractor for use in the Arctic and the Far North. The shooting was done to evaluate the accuracy of missile guidance by two goals at burst shooting. Combat shooting was carried out a fighting machine in the complex targets environment, under noisy conditions simultaneously on two airborne targets, simulating cruise missiles – said the Defense Ministry.
According to the Defense Ministry information, “complex will undergo environmental testing and test the transport of goods by air”.
Upon completion of state testing and adopting the delivery of the first division will be made in sets of one of the compounds of the Northern Fleet – They stressed the Ministry of Defense.
Defense Ministry noted, that the personnel of the anti-aircraft missile battalion will undergo retraining, conduct combat coordination and perform combat docking shooting.
